Privacy
The short version: we collect nothing. There's no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. We have no servers that see your notes.
Your notes
Your notes are plain Markdown files in a folder you choose: on your device, or in your iCloud Drive (iCloud Drive › Ink) so your Mac and iPhone stay in step. iCloud is Apple's service, covered by Apple's privacy policy. We never see your notes.
Ditto (on the Mac, only if you connect it)
Ditto does nothing until you connect it to your own Claude account. When you hand Ditto a line, it sends Claude (made by Anthropic) the line you handed it, the few lines around it, and the part of your taste that applies, so Claude can do the work. When Ditto works on software, it works in your project on a branch of its own, on your Mac. Anything sent to Claude is handled under your agreement with Anthropic and Anthropic's privacy policy. Ditto never pushes, merges or messages anyone.
Ditto on the iPhone
The iPhone app shows and decides Ditto's work through files in your own iCloud Drive. It talks to no server of ours.
Speaking a note (Inkling)
When you speak a note, the microphone is used only while the Inkling panel is open. Speech is turned into text on your device when your device supports it; otherwise by Apple's speech recognition, under Apple's privacy policy.
Crash reports
If you choose to share crash reports with developers in your device's settings, Apple passes them to us. They contain no notes.
Children
Ink & Ditto collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
